Students shine on A-level results day

Following our Ofsted visit in December, Inspectors described our staff as being “unwavering in their pursuit of academic excellence.” This assertion was encompassed by this year’s results, in which 30% of students achieved an A grade average. As a Sixth Form, we have continued to excel in the Department for Education’s measure of AAB with at least two facilitating subjects. All-day cycle event

Organiser James Crumbie was joined by Rob Rooney, Tom Raine, Phil Marshall, Chris Lunn, Tracey Smith and Dan Burke who, between them, cycled 345 miles in six hours and 15 minutes. Hunstanton Trip

The trip – which has run annually for the last seven years – provided students with an opportunity to conduct fieldwork that directly linked to the Geography curriculum and strengthened their academic knowledge of the subject. Alongside five members of staff, the excitable cohort departed on Thursday 21st March, making the 24-hour journey – though France and Germany – via coach and ferry, before eventually arriving at the Snow-Space resort in Salzburg, home to 240km of pistes.
